Tang Hong Ming and Jemyca Aribado lift MARIGOLD-SGCC Singapore Challenger 2025 Title

9 November 2025

SINGAPORE: The finals of the MARIGOLD-SGCC Singapore Challenger 2025, held at Serangoon Gardens Country Club to a packed grandstand, saw Tang Hong Ming of Hong Kong, China, and Jemyca Aribado of the Philippines claim the Singapore Challenger Men’s and Women’s titles respectively.

Tang denied a home winner when he defeated home favourite and second seed Jerome Aw in three closely contested games. Tang later said in his post-match interview, “Singapore seems to be my lucky place”, referring to his previous title here in 2016 at the Singapore Open.

Philippines’ top women’s player, Jemyca Aribado, meanwhile halted the top seeded Egyptian Malak Samir, also in straight games. The experienced Filipino took a while to get used to the hard-hitting style of Samir but eventually found her way to control the pace in the bouncy and warm courts of the Serangoon Gardens Country Club.

Having not hosted a major tournament for some years, squash section members of the club were treated to a week of world class squash.
